Abstract:
This article aims to analyze the impacts of “Generation Z” on the workplace given the diversity of generations and the permitted restructuring that must be carried out in order to attract and retain Generation Z talent in organizations. In developing this study, the main characteristics of this generation were enumerated, resulting mainly from a highly connected world with excess stimuli, and it was analyzed how these characteristics impact the relationship of these individuals with the work environment. The historical context experienced by this generation is different from previous ones, making expectations and motivations regarding work different and creating major challenges for organizations. To retain and attract these new talents, organizations need to adapt, creating new, more horizontal management models that provide these young people with more technological tools, an environment that enhances their creativity and allows them to participate in the construction and development process. decision-making. Furthermore, this is a generation that values financial recognition, with good progress and the possibility of rapid growth within organizations, while taking into account quality of life and alignment with the organizations’ purposes and values.
